L-P students add large colorful mural to Peru dog park

Student artists from La Salle-Peru Township High School painted dog-themed illustrations on the north wall of the Water Street dog park Friday and Saturday, Oct. 16-17, 2026, in Peru. The mural project, organized by L-P art teacher Julie Jenkins and Mayor Ken Kolowski, gave students an opportunity to showcase their creativity while adding a colorful, welcoming touch to the community park.
