- Entering his 10th season with an 82-67 record and two NFC Championships, Shanahan credited coordinators Klay Kubiak, Raheem Morris and Brant Boyer, saying the organization made it very easy for him not to worry.
- Following Thursday's exhibition, the 49ers face a joint practice with the Chargers the following week before wrapping up the preseason on August 27 against Las Vegas.
