There has been a twist in the ongoing trial into the alleged billion-dollar fraud at the Ministry of Agriculture. According to documents obtained by Direkt36, the charges against one of the most interesting figures in the case, Kristóf Nobilis, have been amended.
The Fejér County Prosecutor's Office has amended the charges in the criminal case pending at the Székesfehérvár Court regarding alleged billion-dollar fraud at a former background institution of the Ministry of Agriculture. Businessman Kristóf Nobilis is now accused of money laundering of a particularly significant value, instead of the previous budget fraud.
According to the indictment, the billionaire businessman knew the origin of the money arriving in the account of a Panamanian company linked to him. The post Public funds landed in Switzerland: the charge against Kristóf Nobilis is money laundering, from whom the prosecution would confiscate 1.7 billion forints first appeared on 24.hu.
The prosecution has filed an amended indictment in the case of the alleged billion-dollar fraud at the Ministry of Agriculture.
