According to employment trends for July, the number of employed people increased slightly, but the overall employment rate declined for the fourth consecutive month. Uncertainty in the job market persists as the number of employed youth decreases and sluggishness continues in domestic demand-related sectors such as manufacturing, construction, and wholesale and retail trade.

The employment in Guanajuato during July 2026 showed an adjustment compared to June, although the state labor market retains a positive balance in the first seven months. The IMSS records counted 1 million 125 thousand 879 jobs, compared to the 1 million 131 thousand 141 reported a month earlier.
