Kitimat breaks temperature record as heat wave sweeps B.C. - Northern Sentinel

Kitimat set a new daily temperature record June 23 as a provincewide heat event pushed temperatures far above seasonal norms across B.C. According to Environment and Climate Change Canada, the Kitimat area reached 29.6 C, breaking the previous daily record of 29.4 C set in 1958. Weather records for the area date back to 1951.
