Kingston University is taking part in an “ambitious” project to clean up the River Thames and make the water drinkable.
Researchers will carry out analysis of pollutants, such as heavy metals and microplastics. They’ll also start monitoring the ecology of the water ecosystem at various locations along the Thames. A team from University College London has also created a website showing sewage outfall in river systems.
