KINGSTON, N.Y. — A city man was sentenced to more than seven years in state prison for assaulting the mother of his children at a barbecue, the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office said Wednesday. Carlos Caal Chub, 30, was sentenced on Tuesday, June 17, by Ulster County Judge Bryan Rounds. Chub was convicted on April 9 of various felonies and misdemeanors following a week-long jury trial.
