Ex-Pistons Guard Suspended After Attempting to Hit Another Player
Dennis Schroder was suspended without pay for three games after confronting and attempting to strike another player following a Kings-Lakers game, the NBA announced.
On Saturday, the NBA suspended Sacramento Kings guard Dennis Schroder three games without pay for confronting and attempting to strike another player, starting with the game against the Houston Rockets at Golden 1 Center.
About 40 minutes after the game on December 28th, Schroder confronted another player in a hallway at Crypto.com Arena, Los Angeles, although the NBA did not disclose the player's identity.
Multiple reporters confirmed Lakers guard Luka Doncic was the player Schroder sought, with Chris Haynes saying they had been jawing throughout the game at Crypto.com Arena.
Schroder will miss the Kings' home games against the Houston Rockets on Sunday, the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday and the New York Knicks on Wednesday; he is eligible to return Friday against the Washington Wizards.
With the Kings in last place, observers noted it took nearly two weeks after December 28th for the NBA to act, and Schroder has appeared in 31 games, starting 12 this season.
