King's charity HQ to offer up 'luxury' wedding venue
The King’s Hall will host up to six large-scale events weekly, with revenue supporting education and community programs benefiting over 10,000 people annually.
- Last year East Ayrshire Council and Historic Environment Scotland approved the first phase for The King's Hall at Dumfries House, with artist impressions released and bookings invited from July 2027.
- In recent years the charity has lacked a large-scale events space, prompting the extension that prioritises traditional crafts and locally sourced stone inspired by His Majesty The King's vision.
- The 430sqm extension will include a 282sqm public hall replacing the Pavilion marquee and will host up to 200 guests in a luxury setting designed to match Robert Adam architecture.
- Revenue from ticketed events and exclusive-use hire will fund Dumfries House upkeep and the foundation's programmes, benefiting more than 10,000 people annually and boosting local community and employment opportunities.
- The foundation says The King's Hall is planned as the 'go-to venue for high-end, luxury weddings and private events' nationally and internationally, offering couples-to-be a chance to book 'royal' weddings.
