Kiks.ádi clan members raise concerns about ownership of Lingít opera story after Juneau debut

The Kiks.ádi were especially involved in the Battles of Sitka, and texts about the battles say this is their story. But clan members, while it’s exciting the story is being told, they were never asked for permission to tell this story in the first place. And at the last minute, they were not allowed to speak at the opening night of the opera.
