On 31 December, a man and his wife, the parents of a known influencer, were threatened and the father was kidnapped for ransom.
A couple, whose son is known to be an influencer "known to the general public", had been sequestered against a ransom in Saint-Genis-Pouilly on 31 December 2024.
The influencer's father was found healthy, except after being forcibly transported for nearly 700 km, according to the Bourg-en-Bresse Public Prosecutor's Office.
