Kelsey Grammer says he’s considering a run for political office
Grammer said a sense of duty and unfinished military service could motivate a future bid, but he would wait until the timing is right.
On Thursday, Actor Kelsey Grammer met with President Donald Trump at the White House amid speculation about a potential political run, confirming to Weekly that he would "consider" running for office.
Grammer stated that a potential run stems from a personal sense of duty to his fellow countrymen that he missed by not serving in the military during the Vietnam War.
Located in the Catskills, the actor's 500-acre estate sits within New York's 19th Congressional District, where Republicans are eyeing the seat as a potential pickup.
While promoting his new movie Young Washington, Grammer described President Donald Trump as "very positive, uplifting, and impressive," and continues hosting Fox Nation's The Patriot War, premiering Sunday.
Grammer noted that his political aspirations may manifest "in some way" in the coming years, though he emphasized that deciding to enter politics is not something one can determine overnight.
