Mayo have turned to legendary defender and former dual star Keith Higgins to manage the next generation following his appointment as the county’s U-20 football boss.

Mayo legend Keith Higgins has made a return to the county game, this time as a coach of the Mayo U20 football side. He was ratified in on a two-year term by the Mayo County Board in a meeting at MacHale Park on Wednesday night. He replaces Peadar Gardiner who guided the U20s to the All-Ireland semi-final this year where they loss to Louth.
