Recent statistics show one in five children across Kentuckiana don't know where their next meal is coming from.

KDE shares how children can get meals this summer

During the summer months, the Summer Food Service Program – also called Sun Meals – is administered by the Kentucky Department of Education. The program provides meals at no cost from late May through August to children 18 and under in low-income areas. KDE partners with school districts and community organizations statewide to offer nutritious meals, recreational fun and educational activities while school is out of session.
