- In a terse press release, a notice signed by Soma Bharat Kumar and T. Ravinder Rao said Kavitha’s `anti-party activities` risked damaging BRS, prompting her suspension by the Party Disciplinary Committee.
- The move sparked protests as BRS workers burned Kavitha’s posters and an effigy of Harish Rao, intensifying turmoil in Telangana politics and pleasing Congress supporters amid the infighting.
- Amid a government-ordered CBI probe into Kaleshwaram, the Telangana High Court gave interim relief restraining action until October 7 as the state moves to transfer the case to the Central Bureau of Investigation.
