Katie Zacharia says she was caught off guard by Sean Hannity’s ‘hostility’ during interview
Zacharia attributes her dismissal after a 5-day tenure to the televised interview and intense questioning regarding her legal credentials, according to her account of the event.
- On Tuesday, former White House Press Secretary Katie Zacharia told Newsmax host Rob Finnerty she was "perplexed" by Sean Hannity's "hostile" questioning during their October 15 interview.
- Hannity had previously defended Zacharia on October 13 following her shaky maiden briefing, which lasted 14 minutes and included only three questions.
- Hannity's team had recruited Zacharia as a California correspondent to cover Gavin Newsom before her White House role, a position involving no discussion of her educational credentials.
- One day after the interview, Zacharia was ousted from her position, making her the shortest-serving press secretary in White House history.
- Despite the abrupt termination, Zacharia stated on Tuesday that she remains "ruthlessly loyal" to President Donald Trump.
