Demon Celebrates Wedding and Career-High World No.5
The private church ceremony followed their Wimbledon exits and came before a larger celebration with family and friends later this week.
On Sunday, British tennis star Katie Boulter married fellow professional Alex de Minaur in a private church ceremony in Old Woodhouse, Leicestershire, arriving together in a black Porsche Carrera.
The couple, who have been in a relationship for six years and engaged in 2024, chose the date following their early departures from the Grand Slam, with local residents "sworn to secrecy" according to the Daily Mail.
Boulter, 29, wore a white gown while the 27-year-old Australian star wore a black suit for the family-only ceremony, which included her grandfather and a breakfast at a local pub.
De Minaur, who recently lost to Flavio Cobolli in the Round of 16, confessed to "gut-wrenching" self-doubt about winning a Grand Slam title and pledged to take a break from tennis.
A larger celebration for Katie and Alex is expected later this week, bringing together their British and Australian families alongside friends from across the international tennis world.
