Karnataka Bandh from 6 am to 6 pm on March 22: Will cabs ply on Saturday? Know what’s open, what’s closed
Pro-Kannada groups have called for a 12-hour statewide shutdown in Karnataka on March 22 to protest against an alleged assault on a bus conductor in Belagavi for not knowing Marathi.
While some transport services may be disrupted, essential services such as pharmacies, hospitals, and metro services will remain operational during the shutdown.
Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar stated that the state government would not encourage the shutdown and urged citizens to maintain peace and follow the law.
Security has been tightened across the state to prevent incidents during the protest, with authorities urging residents to stay updated on advisories.
