Kannada actor-producer and Puneeth Rajkumar's Milana co-star Dileep Raj dies at 47
On Tuesday, popular Kannada actor-producer Dileep Raj died in Bengaluru at age 47 after suffering a sudden heart attack at his residence. Medical professionals at Apollo Hospital were unable to revive him despite emergency care.
Renowned for his contributions to Kannada entertainment, Raj gained recognition for his 2007 role in 'Milana' opposite Puneeth Rajkumar. He also produced serials including 'Krishna Rukku' and contributed through dubbing and theatre work.
Following the announcement, industry peers mourned the loss. Actor Rishab Shetty remembered him as "a good actor, director, producer, and above all, a good human being," while Chetan Kumar Ahimsa thanked him for dubbing contributions.
Raj is survived by his wife, Srividya Raj, and two daughters. Together, the couple co-founded a production house that backed successful serials including 'Paaru' and 'Vidya Vinayak.'
Details regarding funeral arrangements are expected to be announced by the family soon. Family members have requested privacy while mourning the loss.
