As a result of investigations coordinated by the Department for Investigating Unsolved Crimes, 36 previously unsolved cases have been fully clarified. The perpetrators of three murders committed in Ankara in 2015 and the double murder in Osmaniye in 2019 were identified and arrested.
The unsolved case of Mustafa Ala and Hüsna Ala, a couple murdered in their home in Düziçi district of Osmaniye in 2019, has been reopened after 7 years. Following a re-examination of HTS and base station records, License Plate Recognition System data, a missing promissory note, and witness statements, Yusuf Küçük was taken into custody and arrested.
Justice Minister Akın Gürlek announced that the suspect in the 2019 murder of the Ala couple in Osmaniye has been apprehended and sent to prison. Gürlek also stated that the perpetrator of three murders and six attempted murders committed using the same method in Ankara is currently in prison for other crimes.
