The filing says the National Park Service will submit Tom Fazio’s design Friday as the course is set to become an upscale 18-hole venue.
On Wednesday, the National Park Service filed legal notice confirming it will close East Potomac Golf Course on Nov. 15 for a 15-month renovation, aligning with President Trump's directive.
Judge Ana Reyes prohibited the Interior Department from removing park trees without a court order on Monday, following disputes over whether the President's renovation plans were officially confirmed.
On Friday, the National Park Service will submit a design by golf-course architect Tom Fazio to the National Capital Planning Commission, with the commission reviewing the plan on Dec. 3.
Calling the current site a "National Disgrace" on Truth Social, President Trump promised a "WORLD CLASS PUBLIC Golf Course" while confirming closure of Ohio Drive and the miniature golf course.
The upscale 18-hole course is designed to host Ryder Cups and major championships, with the President pledging the new layout will remain AFFORDABLE for locals, unlike current $48 fees.
