The Paris concert of wildly popular French Marseille-based rapper Jul has broken the attendance record at France's national stadium the Stade de France, it said Sunday.

After the death of his brother in an abandoned career, a young man had asked, on social networks, rapper Jul, idol of the deceased boy, to have a word for Mathys, on the occasion of the concert, Saturday 26 April. The singer invited his audience to "light up all the phones", for "this young party too early" ... and the Stade de France sparkled a thousand fires.

REPORTING - With 98,000 spectators and 25,000 watching the concert remotely on their phone, the 35-year-old Marseille rapper broke the records previously held by Johnny Hallyday and Indochina. From now on, the youth's idol is Jul.
