Julio Cesar Chávez Jr. will be released from custody, enter rehab program
Former boxing world champion Julio César Chávez Jr. was released from custody on $50,000 bail Thursday after being arrested and charged with illegal possession of an assault rifle Sunday at his Sherman Oaks home, his lawyers said.
Guadalupe Valencia and Michael Goldstein, lawyers for Chávez Carrasco, confirmed that he must return to court in 15 days to begin the judicial process against him, which involves three counts of illegal possession of weapons; in addition, he must undergo a rehabilitation program.
