Julia Parsons, the United States Navy codebreaker whose top-secret unit of women helped to defeat the Germans and win World War II by decoding Nazi messages, has died at 104. Required to keep her work classified, Parsons even told her husband she was performing basic office work for the Navy, while secretly shaping the outcome of the war.
