Judge denies Fulton County's request to return 2020 ballots seized by FBI
Judge J.P. Boulee said Fulton County did not show irreparable harm, and the Justice Department has given the county copies of the seized records.
A U.S. judge ruled that the Justice Department can keep 2020 election ballots seized by the FBI during an investigation into potential election fraud in Fulton County, Georgia.
The judge determined there were flaws in the FBI affidavit used to obtain the search warrant, but not enough to constitute "callous disregard" and require the ballots to be returned.
The ruling allows the FBI to continue its investigation into whether election records were improperly handled or if residents were defrauded, despite the statute of limitations potentially expiring.
