The Kaunas Regional Prosecutor's Office has referred a criminal case to court in which a 46-year-old resident of Jonava is accused of illegally using electricity belonging to his employer to mine virtual currencies.

As stated in the prosecutor's report, according to the criminal case, in the period from 2019. January 10 to 2024. February 2, 2024. the man, while working as an energy worker in the company's urea workshop, illegally mined virtual currencies in the auxiliary room of the urea workshop production building on the territory of its factory.
