Jonathan Bamba Scores 2 Goals for Fire in 4-2 Win over Rapids – WTOP News
Bamba’s first multi-goal MLS game helped Chicago move within 1 point of Miami in the Eastern Conference race.
Jonathan Bamba scored twice as the Chicago Fire defeated the Colorado Rapids 4-2 on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2026, in Commerce City, Colo., with Robert Lewandowski and Puso Dithejane adding goals.
Colorado initially led with goals from Morgan Whittaker in the 22nd minute and Paxten Aaronson in the 58th, but Bamba leveled the match at halftime with a 41st-minute strike.
Lewandowski broke the 2-2 deadlock in the 74th minute on a counter-attack, evading goalkeeper Nico Hansen to score from point-blank range, before Dithejane added the final goal in the 88th.
Chicago now holds 55 points and sits fourth in the Eastern Conference with one match remaining. The loss snapped the Rapids' five-game unbeaten streak.
Next Saturday, the Fire host the Columbus Crew at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview for the regular-season finale, while the Rapids travel to Dallas for their final match.
