Jimmy Kimmel Takes Aim at Trump in Fiery First Show Back
Kimmel marked his 4,000th episode with a monologue that said Trump spent $20 million and still failed to fix the Reflecting Pool.
On Tuesday, Jimmy Kimmel returned to Jimmy Kimmel Live for his 4,000th show, using the monologue to assess President Donald Trump's summer accomplishments.
Kimmel noted that when he left in June, the nation faced high gas prices, conflict with Iran, and a neglected Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.
The host quipped that little had changed, citing the pool's poor condition and Trump's posts suggesting to rename New Mexico as New America.
Mocking the president's online behavior, Kimmel observed that Trump posted 37 times on Sunday, sharing claims about the moon and selling Lake America hats for $55.
While Kimmel joked that he and Trump have "one thing in common" by accomplishing nothing, the president faces mounting political friction as Election Day approaches.
