Due to the irregularities discovered, the ministry has filed the necessary reports with the competent authorities, Minister of Science and Technology Zoltán Tanács announced in a Facebook video.
After the due diligence, the Ministry of Science and Technology filed complaints in six cases and a total value of 20 billion forints.
A hotel suite, wine, gin, jewelry and an adult board game were also included in the accounts of the National Data Asset Agency, according to the Ministry of Science and Technology, which filed a complaint over an IT contract worth almost 20 billion forints. The ministry said the investigation must determine whether the expenses served the performance of state tasks.
According to the minister, serious questions arise regarding the use of public funds.
