Jets’ Scheifele relieved to finally get some puck luck
Scheifele had three points as Winnipeg’s reshuffled top line fueled a 5-2 win, while Cole Perfetti reached eight points in six games.
On Tuesday, Mark Scheifele led the Winnipeg Jets to a 5-2 victory over the Minnesota Wild, recording three points including his first goal of the 2026-27 season.
The Winnipeg Jets revamped their top line this season, pairing Scheifele with Kyle Connor and Cole Perfetti, which has helped the team secure a 4-1-1 record through early games.
Cole Perfetti has recorded eight points in six games, including five goals, a mark that took him 40 games to achieve last season.
Head coach Scott Arniel praised the top line's production but emphasized the urgent need for secondary scoring, noting that thirteen players remain without a goal.
Winnipeg travels to face the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday, who are averaging 4.14 goals per game this season.
