Jeremy Clarkson's New Advert Banned From All TV, Radio and Cinemas
UNITED KINGDOM, JUL 15 – The advert was banned for repeated use of explicit language despite Hawkstone becoming the fastest-growing UK beer brand, according to Clarkson and advertising regulators.
Jeremy Clarkson, former Top Gear presenter and face of Hawkstone Lager, had his new beer advert banned from all TV, radio, and cinemas.
The advert was banned because it was deemed not compliant with broadcasting regulations due to farmers repeatedly singing the phrase 'f*** me it's good'.
The advert showcased a group of 34 authentic British farmers singing a revamped opera tune to celebrate British farming and promote Hawkstone Lager from Clarkson’s Diddly Squat Farm.
Clarkson called the regulatory body responsible for banning his advert a group of overly strict enforcers working in dull offices and praised the commercial as the best project he had created since making a shepherd’s pie back in 1988.
Following this and challenges in his pub business, Clarkson declared he is done with new business ventures and appealed to newspapers to publish the banned advert.
