Japan declares 'war' on obsolete technology including floppy disk

Summary by Ground News
Minister of Digital Affairs Taro Kono has vowed to eliminate use of outdated devices including the floppy disk, CD and MiniDisc in a bid to drag Japan's government into the digital age and reduce red tape. Japan is notorious for clinging to outmoded technology through its office culture. Almost 2,000 government procedures still rely on the now obsolete storage devices.
