Japan Championships 10,000m women's: Yada Shigeshi takes second place "I aimed for a home victory...it's frustrating"

25-year-old Mikuni Yada (Edion, Lutheran High School graduate) showed her fans in Kumamoto how much she has grown. She came in second in the women's 10,000 meters, beating her personal best set in December 2020 by more than 14 seconds. However, with tears running down her rain-soaked cheeks, she said, "I was aiming to win in my hometown, so I feel very disappointed."
