János Lázár said he had been fined 13 million forints and had to demolish the structures he had built in his forest. He admitted his negligence.
"I may have committed an omission, but never an intentional violation of law or damage," wrote the former minister, who posted again after a long time.
The forestry authority has fined János Lázár and ordered the former minister to dismantle the roads, timber storage, warehouses and offices built in his own forest over the past decade. Lázár announced in a Facebook post that he had been fined thirteen million forints and admitted that he may have committed an omission by failing to obtain permits, but he claims that he did not intentionally violate the law or cause environmental damage.
Lázár was recently tasked with assessing the state of Fidesz. Now he has written that he wants to work in forestry as long as he is allowed to.
The forestry authority decided the case.
The forestry authority has launched an investigation against the former minister, and his facilities must be demolished.
