Slovenian chess player Jan Šubelj took the final 16th place with 9.5 points at the European Speed Chess Championship in Zagreb. The title of European champion was won by Czech grandmaster David Navara with 11.5 points after 13 rounds according to the Swiss system. Among women, Laura Unuk of Slovenia was third with 7.5 points, in 128th place overall.
