Jamaican shot put bronze medallist Rajindra Campbell and discus gold medallist Roje Stona are switching their allegiances to Turkey. Reports indicate that both athletes will receive a $500,000 signing bonus and ongoing financial support. Previously, sprinters Jak Ali Harvey and Emre Zafer Barnes made a similar move.
Jamaican Roje Stona, who won the gold medal in the discus throw at the Paris Olympics last summer, and Rajindra Campbell, who won bronze in the shot put, will change their citizenship and will represent Turkey from now on.
