Jacksonville State scored on its first three fourth-quarter drives and ended Middle Tennessee's final two drives to tie for first place in Conference USA, officials said.

- On offense, MTSU's Nicholas Vattiato finished 23-for-45 for 235 yards with two touchdowns while Deondre Johnson had four catches for 131 yards and two TDs.
- With the victory, Jacksonville State now shares the Conference USA lead with Kennesaw State at 5-3 overall, while Middle Tennessee dropped to 1-7 and lost its sixth straight game.
- MTSU returns home Nov. 8 to face Florida International at 2 p.m. CT, and SportsLine's model projected an Over at 57 combined points with one side hitting in over 70% of simulations.
