- Police recovered an AK-47, a pistol, and a large cache of arms and ammunition during the probe; officials said Khurshid Ahmed Rather acted as an Over Ground Worker and Siyad Ahmad Khan is a terrorist associate.
- Officials said the dismissals are part of the administration of Manoj Sinha's ongoing crackdown on terror networks and overground workers embedded in government institutions, with over 70 terminated since 2020–2024.
- Amid retaliatory operations after the Pahalgam attack, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, `In a joint Operation Mahadev, the Indian Army, CRPF, and J&K Police have neutralised three terrorists who were involved in the Pahalgam terror attack`.
