In Côte d'Ivoire, Damana Adia Pikass, one of the right-wing members of former President Laurent Gbagbo, was arrested yesterday, according to the prosecutor of the Republic. This arrest is part of a context where the two main opposition political groups, the PCA-CI and the PDCI, have been calling for mobilizations for several weeks.
This high-ranking party of the former head of State of Côte d'Ivoire is accused of having called for "people's insurrection" before the presidential elections on 25 October.

Authorities in Ivory Coast have arrested Damana Pickass, a senior aide to opposition leader Laurent Gbagbo, on charges of inciting unrest ahead of the country’s recent presidential election, Prosecutor Oumar Braman Kone announced on Wednesday.
The Parti des Peuples Afriques – Côte d'Ivoire (PPA-CI) reacted strongly this Wednesday, November 5, 2025, to the arrest of its Vice-President of the Strategic and Political Council, Damana Adia Pikas , which occurred the previous day in Bingerville, in the eastern suburbs of Abidjan.
