Intermittent Doorbell Not Working

I have a Gen 1 Wired doorbell that has worked great for 5 years.  Now, the doorbell doesn't work consistently.  It is attached to a mechanical doorbell.  The indoor doorbell rings only about half the time, and rarely twice in a row.  I am getting no notification through the app.  The camera works fine.  I have tried resetting the unit and have removed the doorbell and re-installed  with no success.  Clearly it is connected to the WiFi since I ca…
