The M2 metro line in Budapest was closed. It paid millions of forints to the capital's transport companies due to Arnold Schwarzenegger's film shooting.
It has been revealed how much the Schwarzenegger crew paid for the Budapest metro closure - They also rented Russian metro cars for the filming, which brought in significant additional income.
Although BKV previously did not reveal details about the filming, citing confidentiality, a public interest data request revealed how much revenue the film filming generated for the transport company.
The M2 metro line in the capital was partially closed on June 20-21 due to the filming of an American film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sharon Stone. According to previous information, BKV Zrt. received fifty million forints for the closure, but it has now been revealed that the film company paid another fifty million forints for bus rental and other costs.
We asked the capital's transportation company for the cost of the disruption. Russian subway cars were rented for the production, and Hollywood also covered a significant additional cost.
