On June 2, Italy celebrates Republic Day (Festa della Repubblica). 77 years ago, during a constitutional referendum, the majority of Italians supported the republican structure of the state, and it ceased to be a monarchy. Small festivals, concerts and military parades are held throughout the country on this day, but the biggest and most spectacular events are held in Rome. The main national holiday is taking place this year at the RTVI Gallery.
