- Investigations revealed Cyril arrived in Nigeria from Italy on July 13, 2026, ingesting the narcotics at an Awka hotel before traveling to Enugu, admitting he trafficked the drugs for €3,500 to fund relocation to Germany.
- NDLEA officers intercepted a truck on the Akure-Ilesha Expressway on Tuesday, August 4, seizing 1,633kg of skunk concealed in bags of rice shafts and arresting suspects Buba Jamilu and Sanusi Ibrahim.
- In Lagos, authorities discovered 73 cartons containing 442 packets of cannabis-infused cookies weighing 309.4kg at the Tincan Port Complex on Tuesday, August 4, while Edo State operatives recovered 604.5kg of skunk on Wednesday, August 5.
