Israeli strikes kill at least 14 across southern Lebanon ahead of Washington talks
Lebanese officials said dozens were wounded as Israel widened attacks on Hezbollah targets before first security talks in Washington.
On Thursday, the Israeli military struck Tyre, killing at least eight people in an escalation ahead of crucial security talks in Washington.
Separately, an Israeli drone strike in the coastal town of Adloun killed six people, including children, while another drone hit an apartment building in Sidon where displaced families lived.
In northern Israel, one soldier was killed and two reservists wounded in a Hezbollah drone attack on Thursday, part of dozens claimed by the group targeting Israeli troops.
Lebanese and Israeli military officials are set to hold their first security talks on Friday in Washington, though Hezbollah has dismissed the discussions and endorsed its ally Iran instead.
The conflict has displaced over 1 million people in Lebanon, with at least 3,269 killed and over 9,800 wounded in Israeli strikes since March, according to the Lebanese Health Ministry.
