Israeli strikes across Gaza overnight kill at least 103 people, hospitals and medics say
Overnight and into Sunday, air raids by Israeli forces throughout the Gaza Strip resulted in the deaths of at least 103 individuals, according to medical personnel and hospitals.
The strikes occurred as Israel intensified its war in Gaza, which began on October 7, 2023, after Hamas militants attacked southern Israel.
Eighteen children and thirteen women were among those killed, with significant losses reported in Khan Younis and the Jabaliya refugee camp, where multiple entire families lost their lives.
Hospital spokesperson Weam Fares stated, "18 children and 13 women were among the dead," and medical teams faced difficulties counting due to the condition of bodies.
The intensified offensive, named "Gideon's Chariots," aims to pressure Hamas toward a ceasefire on Israel's terms but the war shows no signs of abating after more than 19 months.
Over a hundred people have been killed in Gaza overnight, reports the AP. Among other things, a school has been attacked. Meanwhile, the population is waiting for aid shipments
