Following the shortage of teachers in the education system, especially in important subjects such as math and English, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Aliyah and Absorption announced a new national program to encourage the immigration of teachers from North America. "The program expresses the concept that aliyah is an engine of growth for the country," said the Minister of Aliyah and Absorption.
