- Authorities were responding to a report of a GMC Yukon driving recklessly on I-65 before the vehicle sideswiped an Isuzu truck and rolled over, ejecting its driver.
- The Tippecanoe County Coroner's Office confirmed the driver of the GMC Yukon died at the accident location, while the Isuzu driver escaped without injuries and the vehicle came to rest upright in a ditch.
- According to Indiana State Police, authorities were alerted to a GMC reported to be driving erratically prior to the accident, and officers from ISP and Clinton County were actively searching for the vehicle when the collision took place.
