Isle of Wight approves $1.9 million to accelerate Route 17 widening

Isle of Wight County supervisors voted unanimously on Oct. 2 to earmark up to $1.9 million from the county’s unassigned fund balance to front-fund an accelerated timeline for widening Carrollton Boulevard.
