Nominations opened this month (1 September) for the 2027 King’s Award for Voluntary Service (KAVS), the highest honour bestowed upon volunteer groups across the British Isles. The award recognises exceptional contributions made by volunteers to their local communities and is regarded as the group equivalent of an MBE.
