Samarkand Launched as Capital of Culture in Islamic World 2025
The Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), in partnership with the Uzbek Ministry of Culture, launched on Tuesday, 27 May 2025, the celebration of Samarkand as the Capital of Culture in the Islamic World, during an international conference held under the theme: Spiritual Heritage and Cultural Expressions in the Islamic World: Calligraphy, Music, Poetry, and Solidarity.
On the occasion of the selection of Samarkand as the capital of culture in the Islamic world in 2025, the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, ISESCO, in partnership with the Ministry of Culture of Uzbekistan, celebrated this occasion.
